School Curriculum

Curriculum planning

Our school-based curriculum is based on the Catholic School's core values.  We begin our theme teaching programme with a storybook, and throughout a series of carefully planned lessons, we integrate different aspects of our teaching and learning objectives ;  such as hands-on activities, team games and even role play.   Plenty of opportunities are given for children to explore and express themselves.  Under this Open-Minded Learning atmosphere we want to instill in children a feeling of being Grateful about the world around them; to become an Optimistic, who is confident and hopeful, and who will grow to see the world and all its possibilities, and finally feel Delightful throughout its process.

Learning / Teaching approach and activities

Learning activities mainly include theme-based teaching and project-based learning. We provide children-centered inquiry-based activities according to children’s learning interests.

Our curriculum involves six Learning Areas, which are “Physical Fitness and Health”, “Language”, “Early Childhood Mathematics”, “Nature and Living”, “Self and Society”, “Arts and Creativity” and ”Spiritual Education”. We let children learn in a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere and stimulate their potential and self-learning ability.

English and Putonghua curriculum

The English and Putonghua curriculum in this school are designed by native- -speaking teachers. They take into account the different stages of child development and progressively integrate the learning activities. This creates a relaxed, natural and authentic language environment where learning and using English and Putonghua are spontaneous.

Religious Education

Children learn about the virtues of Jesus Christ and the good deeds of Biblical characters through stories, songs, pray and life experience sharing, so as to build up their positive belief in life and become kind, caring and thankful.
